Colorado This is one of the many trips I have done to Denver, Colorado and beyond. This particlur trip, took us deep into the Rocky Mountains to the famous Marble Quarries in Marble, Colorado. The roads leading into Marble are strictly made for cars but the Marble Quarries have special permission for trucks to come in and haul the Marble stones out. They use to ship it all by rail but then decided that it was more efficient and quicker to ship by truck. The blocks of marble we were loading weighed 47,000 lbs. Pretty well the maximum our trucks could legally carry. I certainly wouldn't want to venture in there in the middle of winter. It would not be fun. They measure snow up there in feet, not in inches. No thanks. Just click on whichever picture you want to view or click on the first picture and you can go through all the pictures from there in my new easier to navigate picture viewer.
